After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UCLA, Adamick was accepted into Art Center College of Design’s Environmental Design program. Expanding his creative interests to include architecture and design, he focuses on environments where space and furniture design come together to create a complete experience.

In addition to Bernhardt Design, Adamick has worked with leading commercial furniture brands, including Allsteel, Corral, Haworth, Martin Brattrud, and Stylex. His work has been exhibited internationally and received several prestigious design awards, including the Architizer A+ Award, Best of NeoCon Gold, Silver, Editors’ Choice, Sustainability, and Innovation Awards, the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, the Best of Year Award from Interior Design Magazine, Hospitality Design Magazine Product Award and recognition from the Type Directors Club of New York (TDC) and the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD).

Along with holding design leadership roles with independent consultancies Pentagram in New York City and Rios in Los Angeles, Adamick has been an instructor at Art Center College of Design and has worked in-house with iconic American clothing brand Gap to lead the creation of new store environments.

Projects have included one-of-a-kind customisations for San Francisco-based sustainable footwear brand Allbirds (for whom she is also a brand ambassador). Her wallpaper has been sought after by the Detroit Institute of Arts. In 2022 she was commissioned by Mortlach, a Diageo owned whisky brand, to design the 2.81 light fixture.

Launched at Design Miami/ 2020, Freedom to Move saw her co-collaboration and conceptual design for luxury car brand Lexus. Chrissa has also designed an award-winning collection for Bernhardt Design – one of the largest and most prestigious textile and furniture manufacturers in the United States. The collection, A Sense of Duality, was recognized at the NeoCon HiP Awards, voted for by the top interior designers and journalists in America.

In 2017, Chrissa established AFRICA BY DESIGN – a showcase for the best of African design talent. Chrissa works to mentor and promote designers throughout sub-Saharan Africa and has staged exhibitions in five cities across four continents.

Frequently called on to speak about her work this has included moderating a panel conversation about African art and design entitled, ‘African Art & Design: Beyond A Trend’ for Sotheby’s.

Chrissa was invited to represent Ghana at the London Design Biennale 2021, creating a pavilion inside London’s Somerset House with celebrated architect Alice Asafu-Adjaye.

Following the success of the Biennale, she was named as one of House & Garden magazine’s top 100 Designers shaping the world of contemporary design. She has since gone on to join the magazine as a contributing editor.

Educated at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, she made her international debut at Milan Design Week 2015. Her work has gained global recognition, with features in Elle Décor (Italia and South Africa), the FT’s How To Spend It, Architectural Digest and Casa Vogue Brasil, to name a few. She is based in London.

After exhibiting together at 100% Norway, a juried exhibition at the 2010 London Design Festival of leading Norwegian design talent, and Design Tide in Tokyo, the collective debuted a range of cast iron cookware in Paris in January 2011. AWAA subsequently showed a larger range of products at the Salone Satellite in Milan, where they received a Special Mention from the jury, and at the ICFF in New York, where they won the ICFF Studio for their cookware. In 2012, AWAA presented their collection of seating, lighting and tables at the Salone Satellite in Milan.

AWAA approaches design first by analyzing an activity to determine its essential elements to then establish an archetypal object that fulfills those elements. From there, elements are layered on to lend meaning, functionality and adaptability to the object.

Their diverse personal interests and experiences contribute to their designs. Angell is an interior architect with experience in lighting design, having interned with the American lighting brand Rich Brilliant Willing. Wyller is a freelance designer and has experience with design journalism from his time as a columnist with the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet. Aarseth works as a brand strategist and designer at the Oslo-based firm Work.

The son of Nigerian parents who came to the United States as academic scholars, Ini was born and raised in Pasadena, California, where he graduated from Polytechnic School and the Art Center College of Design. After a period of living and working in Singapore, and traveling widely, he moved to Switzerland to pursue further studies – earning a master’s degree in luxury design and craftsmanship from the prestigious École cantonal d’art de Lausanne (écal), where he also serves as a visiting professor. Ini is a prolific public speaker and teacher and is also the founder of L.M.N.O. Creative, a multi-disciplinary design collective. 

In 2019, Ini was honored with Distinguished Alumni awards from both ArtCenter and Polytechnic in his hometown of Pasadena. 

His work has been exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi in Milan, during the prestigious Homo Faber in Venice, and is in the permanent collections of both the Dallas Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. 

Ini has received numerous top design industry awards (NeoCon, ICFF, Milan, Elle Décor), and has been praised widely in the media for his vision and the quiet, poetic elegance of his oeuvre. He also received the Best Design Medal at the 2021 London Design Biennale for his Pavilion of the African Diaspora. 

Following the success of his sold-out solo exhibition at the Friedman Benda Gallery in New York, Ini is currently working on the creation of new pieces for another solo exhibition at Friedman Benda in Los Angeles. 

Archibong lives and works in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where he collaborates closely with many highly skilled Swiss technicians, watchmakers, artisans, and master-craftspeople, as well as a tight circle of international creative partners.

Taher’s ongoing “The Tribal Weave Project,” a multi-tiered re-imagination of tribal artifacts, is his best-known example of this practice. His subsequent exhibition “Recovered Barrels” received great acclaim for shining a light on an industrial waste product that could be repurposed as a design object of great beauty.

Early in his career, Bellini collaborated at Mario Bellini Associati, participating in many types of projects and competitions in architecture and design internationally. He founded the design studio Atelier Bellini in 1996 with a focused interest and original approach to the relationship between new technologies and creative processes.

In 1998 his revolutionary new office furniture system, TW Collection for Frezza, introduced a completely new vision to the contemporary office landscape. From that point on, his development of innovative projects in this area has broadly contributed to trends in the evolution of the working environment.

As a professor of furniture design at Genova University from 2004 to 2008, Bellini held lectures and conferences all over the world, and his work has been extensively published. He describes his creative process as a mind adventure, free of any prejudice, animated only by enthusiasm, curiosity, and optimism.

Today, his studio Claudio Bellini Design is active within several fields of design, ranging from furniture and product design to architecture, and partners with leading companies worldwide. Many of the studio’s creations have received international design awards, including the prestigious Red Dot, IF, and Good Design Awards.

At the May 1996 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City, Bernett presented his first collection of furniture accessories/objects entitled “Ideas for Production” which was awarded the 1996 Editor’s Award for the “Best of Show”. At the ICFF in May of 2000, Bernett, along with five other designers, was named “Best New Designer” for work with U.S. manufacturer Dune.

Bernett continues to work in many areas — interior architecture, transportation design, furniture, household products, lighting, fashion accessories, design communication and strategic planning — winning numerous design awards along the way. In the emerging global market for design, Bernett has often been the first American chosen to work with several of his European clients. A current client list includes Authentics, B&B Italia, Bernhardt Design, Boffi, Cappellini, Dune, Estée Lauder, Hidden, Magis, Michael Kors, Moooi, Northwest Airlines, Ligne Roset, Swedese and Troy.

The design work of Bernett is widely publicized, including feature articles in the December 2002 Esquire, September 2002 Design Diffusion News/DDN, September 2002 Italian Elle Décor, August 2002 Japanese Elle Deco, July/August 2002 Residence, June/July 2002 A&W (Architektur & Wohnen), May 2002 Intramurous, Spring/Summer 2002 Arena. In addition, Bernett is also a frequent lecturer at schools and design events around the world.

A midwesterner, Jeffrey Bernett was born in Champaign, Illinois, and studied business at Northwestern University and University of Minnesota before pursuing furniture design at Parnham College in England.

Boateng graduated from Johnson & Wales University, where he earned a B.S. in Finance and International Marketing. Shortly thereafter, he pondered the major decision of a career change. Previously focused on athletics, the Ghanaian-American designer’s shift in aspirations prompted him into the fashion world. Given an additional nudge by his college girlfriend and guided by the powerful and artistic women in his family, Boateng began developing the contacts and honing the skills that would allow him to start his first company, Akua Adoma, named after his mother.

A chance meeting with director Sam Raimi at Sony Pictures Entertainment provided the catalyst for Boateng’s West Coast success. The relationships forged at the film conglomerate enabled widespread exposure for his work on many A-list movies, including Spider-Man 2 and 3. One of Boateng’s notable achievements includes the movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle, where he curated the wardrobe for the esteemed actor Djimon Hounsou. His impeccable attention to detail and ability to capture the character’s essence through clothing brought a distinct and stylish flair to the film.

Currently, Boateng is showcasing his creative vision as the lead designer on America’s Got Talent. For the past seven seasons, his work has captivated audiences and elevated the overall aesthetic of the show. In addition, Boateng co-founded the highly acclaimed Amen & Amen Design Group. Through this venture, he continues to collaborate with many renowned brands and designers.

With an inborn design compass and a sensitive worldview shaped by his Ghanaian ancestry, Nana Boateng has solidified his reputation as a trailblazer in men’s fashion.

Starting out studying Graphic Design, Breinholt soon found that his passion lay in designing furniture. During his second semester studying furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design in Copenhagen, he was awarded a scholarship for his innovative approach to the design process.

His insistence on pushing the boundaries of materials has resulted in his popular Loop Chair, which was the first one-piece shell in the world with armrests, made out of 3D veneer. The Loop Chair is produced by Italian company Infiniti. Claus Breinholt lives and works in Copenhagen, where he has his design studio.
