Nana Boateng, international menswear designer, has left an indelible mark on a number of prestigious projects throughout his career. He is best known for dressing some of the most recognizable names in Hollywood including Terry Crews, George Clooney, David Beckham, Forest Whitaker, Djimon Hounsou, The Temptations, and Earth, Wind & Fire, to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boateng graduated from Johnson & Wales University, where he earned a B.S. in Finance and International Marketing. Shortly thereafter, he pondered the major decision of a career change. Previously focused on athletics, the Ghanaian-American designer\u2019s shift in aspirations prompted him into the fashion world. Given an additional nudge by his college girlfriend and guided by the powerful and artistic women in his family, Boateng began developing the contacts and honing the skills that would allow him to start his first company, Akua Adoma, named after his mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A chance meeting with director Sam Raimi at Sony Pictures Entertainment provided the catalyst for Boateng\u2019s West Coast success. The relationships forged at the film conglomerate enabled widespread exposure for his work on many A-list movies, including Spider-Man 2 and 3. One of Boateng\u2019s notable achievements includes the movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle, where he curated the wardrobe for the esteemed actor Djimon Hounsou. His impeccable attention to detail and ability to capture the character\u2019s essence through clothing brought a distinct and stylish flair to the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, Boateng is showcasing his creative vision as the lead designer on America\u2019s Got Talent. For the past seven seasons, his work has captivated audiences and elevated the overall aesthetic of the show. In addition, Boateng co-founded the highly acclaimed Amen & Amen Design Group. Through this venture, he continues to collaborate with many renowned brands and designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
